Wish me luck. will be attempting a world record tomorrow by training over 10,000 people in one day in CPR 10.

For the first time in India, I will attempt training to over 10000 people (nearly 13000) on 6th April, 2013, Saturday in a special function “CPR 10 Utsav” being organised at Dr. Sampoornanand Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, C-1, Yamuna Vihar, Delhi. The purpose of birthday according to our mythology can be interpreted as follows:

  • A birthday is a reminder of our true purpose in life, towards which our actions should be directed. These are Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha. Dharma is righteousness – doing our duty; artha is righteous earning of the means to do our duty; kama and moksha represent fulfilling of desires and achieving inner happiness and liberation, respectively.

Energy Drinks May Put Heart at Risk for Sudden Death

Energy drinks may raise blood pressure and prolong QT interval increasing the risk of sudden cardiac death.

In a meta-analysis by Sachin A. Shah at University of the Pacific in Stockton,Calif, with a pooled analysis of 93 people who consumed energy drinks, the QT interval on an ECG was significantly prolonged by 10 ms. The threshold level of regulatory concern is around 5 ms. …More

Why curd is to be avoided in night?

It is not curd but one should not take any fermented food in the night as per Ayurveda practice. Fermented foods should not be combined with non-fermented foods in the night when the digestive fire is weak. They will end up in early petrifaction and resultant attack of acidity around midnight. Therefore after sunset, fermented items should be avoided, especially if they combined with non-fermented items. Eating them alone can still make sense from allopathic point of view. In Chennai, idli and dosa are not served in the night and in North India, curd is not offered in the night. …More
